Gravy for Loaded Chicken Bowls
You ever have something at a restaurant and think, I can totally do this at home? These bowls are absolutely that. Comforting, easy, pleasing to the entire family, and most importantly, homemade. We do take a short cut and use store bought chicken nuggets, but you could absolutely bread your own nuggets to make this a completely homemade version. All it takes is nuggets, homemade mashed potatoes, corn, shredded cheese and this amazingly simply, but flavorful gravy.
Brown Gravy
Cook Time: 15 minutes (you can half this for less gravy- we make a lot for leftovers)
Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp butter
- 10 Tbsp flour
- 4 tsp beef bouillon
- 4 tsp chicken bouillon
- 5 cups water
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
Melt butter in a skillet, add flour and make a paste.
Keep stirring and toasting this until it's golden brown.
Then add the bouillon and water, salt and pepper. Let this boil and continue stirring until it is the thickness you prefer for your gravy.
