Homemade French Fries

I have made it my goal this year to try and make things more homemade. As long as it’s easy—-some things are just not worth it and I am totally fine buying from the store—-to me, it’s all about balance. So when I found this https://a.co/d/cNlXNGJ (affiliate link) chopper that not only chops the veggies I want it to cut, but also makes the most perfect french fries in seconds…I was sold on making homemade french fries a regular thing in our house. They are arguably just as easy as frozen french fries. They just take a tiny bit of planning….and the taste…out of this world better.

Homemade French Fries

Prep time: 30 minutes | Cook time: 15-20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 5 lb bag of Idaho potatoes- use the chopper for a simple way to transform into fries!
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • or whatever other spice you want to add to your french fries

Instructions

Cut the potatoes, let them soak in water (the longer the better)- see note.

Dry off the fries, drizzle on olive oil and sprinkle salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Use your hands to mix it all up and throw them into the air fryer at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Enjoy!!

Note

You can actually soak these over night if you wanted to plan for a super simple dinner on a busy night. I have done them over night and I have done them where I just rinse and go. Both ways turn out fantastic!
